Fitter Welder & Mig Welder

We're looking for a Minimum 5 Years Experience

 

Duties and responsibilities

• Occasionally operate a Forklift and Overhead crane to assist with moving materials within the workshop. (Training to be provided on both).

• Read and interpret M&G’s in-house blueprints, including weld symbols

• Experience with various tools required to layout, mark, cut, bend + roll and weld any structural, plate and light galvanized steel. For example, using an angle grinder to help prepare materials and parts before welding, using the break press or plate roller.

• Maintains a safe attitude when using equipment and while working in a workshop

• Aims to work independently with minimal supervision or as a team. Communication is expected with our Lead Hands on different jobs in the shop for quality control.

                             

                 

Requirements & Experience

• Comfortable taking measurements and reading blueprints with weld symbols.

• Fluent in English to communicate with all departments at M&G (Drafting or Road Crew)

• A reliable mode of transportation is required for this position. There is no access to transit. Schedule expectations are below.

• We aim for greater than 2 years experience in a similar role or those with welding experience.

Has knowledge of CWB and willingness to be certified.
